Waterfowl at Poplar Farm Cottage
We keep Indian Runner and German Pekin ducks.
We have been an established supplier of fertile Indian Runner duck eggs for a number of years. We have sold and sent their eggs throughout the UK .
We started selling German Pekin duck eggs in 2010.
We also breed a small number of ducklings which we offer for sale at either a few days old or when sexed at about 8 to 10 weeks of age - that is if they are not sold beforehand.
We hatch our ducklings in an incubator and regularly use the professional services of our Silkie and Light Sussex hens, both of which make perfect mothers.
We are members of the Indian Runner Duck Association.
We are not allowed to be listed on their Breeders Directory as we offer hatching eggs and ducklings for sale. This practice is not condoned by the IRDA. However, like all the breeders listed on the IRDA website all our stock varies between “pet and exhibition” quality.
